For families learning at home

Malilu World is a ten-minute piece of a day, not the day. It is built to hand back control: it ends by itself, it tells you exactly what it covered, and it gives you something to carry on with once the screen is away.

A screen block with a hard edge

The trail is three or four games and then it finishes. Nothing autoplays and nothing asks for one more. If you have told a child "ten minutes on the iPad," the app is on your side of that promise.

A record you can actually file

The weekly note names skills, not scores: which letters were named independently, which needed a hint, how counting went. It is written to be readable by someone keeping a portfolio.

Bridges to the rest of the day

Every trail ends with one off-screen activity tied to what was just worked on — count the stairs, find three round things, sort the socks by color.

Printable pages

Tracing sheets, counting sheets and coloring pages, printed from the grown-ups area for the parts of the day with no device in them.

It follows the child, not the grade

There are no grade levels. The plan moves when your child moves, and a child can sit on a skill for as long as it takes without anything nagging them forward.
